Why book a holiday cottage in Newquay?

Newquay is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the UK. Located on the north coast of Cornwall, in Englands, the town is famous for its sandy beaches, surfing hotspots and bustling high street. And you can’t leave without sampling a local Cornish pasty (or two!).

If you are after fresh sea air, magnificent views and water sports, you’re in luck — Newquay has them it all in spades.

And to make life easier when you’re searching for your next holiday to Cornwall, we have gathered together all our Newquay holiday cottages in one handy place so you can quickly find the right property - whichever time of the year you are planning on visiting.

What to do on holiday in Newquay

As well as spectacular coastal views, Newquay boasts 7 miles of golden beaches.

The most famous is Fistral Beach, which is popular with surfers of all abilities who flock there in the summer to try and catch the best waves.

There are plenty of other water sports to try too, including coasteering, swimming and kayaking.

High up on wild and beautiful Bodmin Moor sits Jamaica Inn — Cornwall’s most famous smuggling inn, which has welcomed weary travellers crossing Bodmin Moor for nearly 300 years.

Enjoy the award-winning restaurant; sample local ales and wines; purchase fresh produce in the farm shop, and explore the Smuggler’s Museum

Lusty Glaze is a privately-owned cove nestled on the north Cornish coast. As well as hosting live music events throughout the summer, it is a hidden gem, perfect for swimming, strolling or sandcastle-building.

It’s also home to the beach bar and restaurant, serving delicious food all year round.

If you are after an action packed family day out, Retallack Aqua Park is only a few miles from Newquay and takes its watery fun to a whole new level.

On a rainy day, the Blue Reef Aquarium is full of wonder and intrigue. Discover a variety of underwater creatures in over 40 naturally-themed habitats, from the Cornish coast to exotic seas.

Newquay Zoo is another firm family favourite. Go on a journey and get close to 1,000 of the world’s rarest and most endangered species. The zoo is surrounded by 13 acres of lush tropical gardens for you and the children to explore, making it a day well spent.
