Snowdonia holiday cottages
Welcome to Snowdonia!
Situated on the west coast of Britain, this picturesque area of north west Wales covers some 838 square miles of stunning glaciers and mountains of Snowdonia National Park – featuring Wales’ highest mountain, Mount Snowdon.
Thousands visit every year to come and climb this spectacular mountain – but if you prefer the more leisurely approach, you can always take the popular train straight to the top!
It’s not just the mountains that bring people flocking to Snowdonia – the landscape also offers awe-inspiring waterfalls, gorges, valleys and forests to explore both on foot and bike.
And if that’s not enough, you can wander along the 23 miles of coastline that lies within the park.
Popular attractions in the area abound, including the Ffestiniog Railway; Welsh Highland Heritage Railway; Portmeirion Village Gardens as well as long sandy beaches in Abersoch, Barmouth and Nefyn. Just perfect for buckets and spades.
If you fancy something more adrenalin fuelled, why not find out what it is like to soar five hundred feet in the air at 100mph at Zipworld?!
Or maybe you would rather just sit back and sample some Welsh food and drink at one of the many food festivals – showcasing local produce including lamb, award winning cheeses as well as a wide range of craft beers and ciders.
Whatever you choose, there’s something for everyone here.
