The Suffolk Coast and Heaths is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. And it’s not hard to see why.
Attracting bird watchers from afar, this spectacular East Anglian county has been home to Thomas Gainsborough and John Constable – two of Britain’s most respected painters as well as classical composer Benjamin Britten, founder of the world famous Aldeburgh Festival.
Choose to explore Suffolk’s 45 miles of coast, with its Blue Flag beaches and picturesque seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold. Or head further inland, to the historic Wool Towns, including Lavenham, crowned ‘England’s Best Preserved Medieval Village.’
With England’s horse racing capital at Newmarket and plenty of shopping in the historic towns of Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich, Suffolk really does offer something for everyone.
