Often described as the ‘Pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia', Criccieth is a tranquil and delightful seaside town just five miles from Porthmadog. The town is dominated by a 13th Century castle that towers over the settlement on a rocky outcrop. From the castle there are superb views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains. The area is a haven for water sports enthusiasts with two pristine beaches and walkers and hikers have the magnificence of the Snowdonia National Park to explore with a myriad of footpaths and walks throughout the region.
