Betws-Y-Coed is surrounded by picturesque woodland and imposing mountains and is part of the Snowdonia National Park Visitors Centre. The National Park is made up of just under 850 square miles of unspoilt scenery that plays host to an abundance of wildlife and a number of rare plants; a tranquil setting for walkers and nature-enthusiasts. The nearby River Conwy is well known for the quality of its fishing and also hides river pools, frothing waterfalls and bridges that are many hundreds of years old. Betws-Y-Coed itself has a variety of restaurants, pubs and shops, as well as the Woodland High Rope Activity Centre.
