The well-equipped fitted kitchen has exposed beams, giving it a ‘country farmhouse' feel and the dining area is also located in this space. The spacious sitting room is comfortable and welcoming with a stone feature fireplace housing an electric flame effect fire, giving instant warmth and a cosy feel to the room. The four bedrooms are light and appealing with sloping ceilings, making them snug and inviting and a real haven of peace. There are two bathrooms serving the property, one of which is a shower room on the ground floor. The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

The fishing port of Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk and is well placed for exploring this wonderful part of Yorkshire with its spectacular coastline and the magnificent North York Moors. St Hilda's Abbey is high on Whitby's East Cliff as is the parish church of St Mary and the 199 steps leading up to them is well worth the climb. Bram Stoker was inspired by the atmospheric town to write Dracula. Whitby is also famous for Jet, a beautiful gemstone and the Victorian Jet Works will shed insight into the jet industry. Other attractions in Whitby are the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and the Dracula Experience. With its safe beaches and access to the North York Moors, Whitby is a tremendous base for a family holiday.
