Sam and Daisy, the owners’ friendly donkeys, will just become part of the family.

All cottages are spacious, comfortable and immaculate. Three are in a terraced row while the other is detached. A great solution for spending time together with different generations of a family, yet offering privacy at the same time. The owners have thought of everything and made The Hawthorns as family, dog, and child friendly as possible with a large shared playing field, an extensive collection of DVDs (films/TV programmes), books and family games as well as an outdoor “international tournament size” table tennis table. Enough to keep everyone entertained whatever the weather.

All cottages benefit from a kitchen each, so whether you would like to cook for yourself or prefer to eat out at any of the bistros, pubs or restaurants in the local towns or villages nearby, it’s all here for you. Breakfast hampers, evening meals, flowers and chocolates can all be arranged with the owner to make your stay even more special.

This part of Kent offers some lovely blue flag sandy beaches on the coast, perfect to walk along and explore any time of the year. The cathedral city of Canterbury, only a short drive away, has so much to offer, from rich history, river trips, and not to forget you can shop ‘til you drop.
