The little parish of Fishbourne is situated approximately one mile from Wootton Bridge and just three miles from the picturesque seaside resort of Ryde. This friendly community is located on the banks of Wootton Creek, which is a popularmooring for yachtsmen. Visitors can also embark the Wightlink Portsmouth Ferry from here. The parish has an excellent pub, a shingle beach that can be accessed at low tide for paddling and fishing, and The Isle of Wight coastal path passes through the community. There is plenty for visitors to experience in this area, including the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, Queen Victoria's Osborne House, Quarr Abbey, Brickfields Horse Country, and Robin Hill Adventure Park. Ryde, only a short drive away, offers six miles of excellent sandy beaches and many other attractions including 10 pin bowling, an ice rink, and a superb selection of shops and restaurants.
