Further afield are the vibrant fishing town of Whitstable, famous for its oysters and seafood, and the medieval Cathedral City of Canterbury full of history and culture, and great for shopping too.

Wander out onto the large decked patio to enjoy a glass of something chilled whilst you watch the sun go down on a warm summer’s evening at this wonderful retreat in Chestfield. This small village sandwiched between Canterbury and Whitstable, with superb connections across the county and situated beside the A2 and Thanet Way, connecting effortlessly to the coast of Whitstable, Ramsgate and Margate and back all the way to the M2 reaching London within an hour. Chestfield is best known for its golf course and pretty countryside, a few pubs, but best exploration is by car to the nearby city and seaside.
The fairways of Chestfield Golf Club are in the distance and with the open farmland that surrounds this recently converted property you really feel that you are out in the countryside. Comfortably furnished with log burner style stoves in the dining room and the bedroom this is a lovely rural retreat for both summer and winter breaks. The interior is light, airy and contemporary and at the same time super-cosy. Cook, eat and relax in the lounge and dining room and make the most of the outside space on sunny days.
With the cosmopolitan city of Canterbury on one side and the seaside town of Whitstable on the other you are perfectly placed to explore more of Kent’s quaint towns and the gorgeous rolling countryside.
