For couples or small families, look no further than this wonderful Surrey Hills conversion of an oak-framed stable block. Within easy reach of London, the Retreat is a world away from reality on a real farm surrounded by fields and woodlands. With a fabulous footpath on your doorstep leading to miles of Surrey hills walks and fantastic country pubs, it’s a real rural treat. The accommodation is on the same grounds as the Surrey Hills Barn, which is also advertised on our website. The Retreat has its own terrace and views to fields around and is tucked away at the end of a typical Surrey lane, within 10 minutes’ drive of the village of Wescott with its local village shop and bakers. You also have the larger town of Dorking just a 15 minutes’ drive away.
Inside is a large open plan living space with a vaulted ceiling. There is a compact well equipped kitchen to one end and a spacious sitting room area to the other. There are two adjacent shower rooms and each first floor bedroom has its own staircase with feature window that opens to the living area below. For your convenience, one room is a twin bed room and the other a double, both perfect to sink into after a busy day exploring the gorgeous countryside on your door step.
Outside is a pretty covered terrace that overlooks the fields beyond. Adjacent to the holiday property is the owners beautiful medieval farmhouse, built in 1464.
