Bluecoats is based in one of the prettiest villages in the Weald of Kent, with charming period cottages overlooking a village pond with a fountain and friendly ducks. The winding village high street leads up to the 12th century St Mary’s Church and overlooks excellent village shops, tearooms, restaurants , pubs and antique shops. Eat your heart out walkers as this village is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside and you can enjoy many walks onto Scotney Castle estate or into Finchcocks, a fine Georgian manor house, The white cowls of Finchcocks Oast are clearly visible in the distance as you head downhill out of Goudhurst.

This charming stable conversion has been cleverly converted leaving some wonderful features, such as the original stable door. Although Bluecoats is a two bedroom property, it has a luxurious country home feel and would sit quite comfortably in any Homes and Gardens feature. Cleverly arranged accommodation, with the open plan living area being upstairs, means evenings will be enjoyed in this stunning room with high ceilings and views across the garden. Downstairs, both bedrooms have en suite as well as direct access to the decking and garden. A lovely place to enjoy a morning coffee before getting ready to explore all that this delightful area has to offer.
Goudhurst village is memorable with its church high on the hill and the village green complete with duck pond and thriving local shops, pubs and restaurants. Sissinghurst Castle and Scotney Castle are both nearby as well as Bedgebury Pinetum so there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the beautiful gardens and walks that abound in this lovely area of South East England.
