The pretty East Sussex village of Newick lies 2 miles away which has three lovely pubs The Crown Inn, The Royal Oak and The Bull Inn. The Bluebell Railway at Sheffield Park is just a 15 minute drive and is a well renowned day out for all the family along with the equally famous Sheffield Park Gardens managed by the National Trust. Mews Apartment is a short distance from the stunning South Downs national park, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The South Downs way is perfect way "to get away from it all", with both day trips and longer walks possible. What's more, the route is littered with classic British pubs and guests can explore the multitude of vibrant working communities steeped in history and traditional English culture accessible from the route. There is so much to do in the vicinity you may not even have time! Glyndebourne, the world famous Opera House and a variety of English Heritage properties and glorious gardens along with an abundance of outdoor pursuits are all within easy reach. The town of Lewes is just 10 miles away Lewes with its wide selection of things to do such as its specialist shops and restaurants, cafes and pubs offering delicious dishes with emphasis on local produce.
