On the edge of Romney Marsh there are wonderful walks along the canals and on the Saxon Way. Cycling is also a must as its reasonably flat with quiet country lanes and big skies, you could even cycle to the sandy beaches of this part of Kent if you are feeling energetic. Nearby Tenterden is a charming market town and the famous Chapel Down Vineyard, open for both tours and tasting is just a few miles away. Tenterden also has its own steam train that follows a wonderful scenic route to moated Bodiam Castle. Gastro pubs abound and the fish as you head towards the coast is excellent both from fishermen on the beach and from the many restaurants that are dotted throughout the area.

Imagine family gatherings around summer barbecues or large family meals in the spacious country kitchen.For those looking to de-stress with a spot of activity and adventure this is the cottage for you.Walk through your private gate and straight out onto the village green, you can take a stroll to the grocery shop or go for that after dinner tipple at a choice of traditional pubs along the lanes or, a little more adventurous,take an enthusiastic jaunt across the countryside.What's more you can work up an appetite with a day swimming at nearby Camber sands or Winchelsea Bay, near the historic fishing town of Rye, or in your own private garden mini gym! For a more relaxing time catch up on some much needed "me time" in the garden Sauna!
The village is charmingly peppered with period properties of all shapes and sizes and is graced with a working Windmill standing tall overlooking The Green, a beautiful focus of the village in this sought after location for families.
With so much to see and do in the local area, from castles, stately homes, garden, beaches, a plethora of historical sites and wonderful options for shopping, you would be forgiven for venturing beyond the village for the afternoon.
