Nercwys Forest is excellent for scenic walks, cycling and horse riding and if you're lucky you'll spot the resident Muntjac Deer or the elusive Long Eared Owl! Nearby is the Jacobean Nercwys Hall, built in 1638 and boasting a splendid display of over 20,000 articles known as the Gathering of Jewels. This delightful detached cottage is situated in the pretty Flintshire village of Nercwys, at the foot of Nercwys Mountain, 2.5 miles from Loggerheads Country Park and Mold town centre.
This charming stone cottage, which dates back to the 1850s and is thought to be the oldest in the village, has been lovingly restored by the owners, and offers cosy accommodation with a welcoming sitting room that has exposed beams, a stone wall and a warming woodburning stove.
The modern fitted kitchen is where you can easily conjure up a romantic meal for two, and the bedroom makes a lovely retreat with a comfy king-size bed, a double sofa bed and an en-suite bathroom.
Outside, the enclosed patio areas to the front and side of this holiday home gives you space to sit back and relax.
A short drive will take you Moel Famau and Loggerheads or, for the energetic, footpaths will get you there in around 45 minutes.
With nearby market towns, numerous Coedpoeth bike trails and the renowned Llandegla off road trail, along with spectacular walking tracks all easily accessed, you will be planning your next stay long before you leave this wonderful country cottage.
