On opening the front door of this truly magnificent house, a rocking horse hides in the alcove. Open the under stairs cupboard to discover a magical children's den, with dressing up clothes and a puppet theatre - this will capture any child's imagination, before you've literally got through the front door. Stairs lead to a galleried landing, which sets the scene for a wealth of character and opulence.

The open plan dining room/kitchen, has all appliances and gadgets you need to cook up a feast and with doors leading onto the terrace, the gas BBQ can sizzle up delectable delights for everyone to enjoy al fresco dining under the vine-covered pergola.

The games room provides a great space for everyone to enjoy: 65’ TV with surround sound, selection of books, games table, toy cupboard and comfy sofas to relax and watch the fun unfold.

Large double doors and shallow steps lead down into the large drawing room, which occupies the width of the house with its Gothic arched stone fireplace , high pitched ceiling and massive beams this is a soft and gentle place to read, chat and snuggle up in front of the open fire. Most favourable vistas from the windows and french doors feel as though you are truly immersed in country life.

A corridor leads down to three bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms or shower rooms. The magnificent king-size four poster bed faces the french doors leading out onto the south terrace. The twin bedroom has a distinctive french feel with 19th century french beds and Louis XVI chair. The third twin room with mahogany four poster beds has french doors leading onto the north terrace.

The two upstairs bedrooms, both with ensuite facilities, occupy the width of the house, with dual aspects. The twin room is furnished with handsome antiques. The high pitched ceiling in the fifth bedroom has an impressive six foot wide half tester bed. Up a narrow flight of stairs is the large ensuite with Bath and shower - these rooms are very much a refuge from the fun and frivolity happening downstairs.

The gardens have a wealth of trees and hedges that suit the grandeur of this country house. The terraces on each side are perfectly positioned for the sun during different times of the day. There’s enough space and sufficient hidden corners not to feel claustrophobic, even with a full house. This is a children's paradise and an adults delight, catering to both in the way of play area and croquet lawn.

Wyck House can be the hub of any family gathering - there's something for everyone - The ‘Welcome Hamper’ of Champagne and all local produce is WOW factor all the way!
