Location
Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.
Newlyn is a lovely harbour village on the Cornish coast, between Mousehole and Penzance. Working fishing fleet still land their catch from the harbour, which makes for fascinating viewing on a morning stroll. St Michael's Mount can be seen rising from the waters in the distance, and a trip over the causeway to this famous landmark is a must. The Cornish coastal path runs close to Newlyn, and walkers can enjoy a host of interesting wildlife and plant species, as well as stunning views. There are great beaches in the area, and Mounts Bay offers a variety of watersports. With the Tate at St Ives, The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan within easy reach, this is a wonderful holiday destination.
