Great Longstone is a pretty village in the heart of the Peak District National Park, four miles from Bakewell. The village offers two pubs, 18th century stone cottages and a market cross set in the village green. The village of Ashford-in-the-Water is close by, as is Bakewell with its shops, restaurants, pubs and local farmers' markets. Within easy reach are the stately homes of Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall, plus within driving distance is Alton Towers.
