Location

Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

The village of Allenheads is situated in the heart of the North Pennines in beautiful Allendale. Allenheads is reputed to be one of the highest villages in England and stands at over 1,400ft above sea level. The dale was once an important lead-mining area and there is an interesting display of former life in the village in the Allenheads Heritage Centre.
