Belford is a lovely Northumbrian village midway between Berwick-upon-Tweed and the historic town of Alnwick. Five miles away is Bamburgh with its dramatic castle and sandy beaches. Alnwick Castle, just 15 miles away, is famous for its gardens but more recently has found fame as being the location of "Hogwarts" in the Harry Potter films.
