Location

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Ferrensby is a small rural village three miles from Knaresborough. Situated so close to the old Great North Road, it is not surprising that the biggest attraction in the village is an old coaching inn, the General Tarleton. The inn has been there for some 250 years, but in recent times it has developed into a particularly well reputed restaurant as well as remaining a proper country inn. At the edge of the quiet village, which has some attractive Georgian properties, there is an adventure maze to amuse and exhaust the kids.
