Kingsbridge is at the head of a marine estuary in the South Devon AONB. There are river trips to Salcombe in the summr. Visitors can walk along Kingsbridge Quay, wander through the narrow Fore Street or visit the Shambles. Around the South Hams there are ports such as Dartmouth and Salcombe, with beaches at Blackpool Sands near Stoke Fleming and at Thurlestone. There are a host of villages offering pubs, farm shops and rows of cottages. Further afield the city of Plymouth has the National Marine Aquarium, the Barbican Quay and night life including theatres, restaurants and bars.
