Positioned on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and set between Helmsley and Pickering is the attractive market town of Kirkbymoorside. Full of traditional Yorkshire buildings, this pretty town is the centre for all local farms and villages. Visitors to this lovely settlement will find a variety of tea-rooms, pubs and restaurants in addition to a number of high quality antique shops. There is also a market every Wednesday. Nearby Pickering is also worth visiting as the base of the North York Moors Steam Railway.
