Oakley Cottage is a delightful 16th Century Grade II listed self-catering terraced holiday cottage set in the heart of the medieval town of Rye in East Sussex. The cottage boasts a wealth of original features such as the magnificent 'Inglenook Fireplace' with original bread oven, and many original doors and beams. The cottage combines the natural charm of the old world with the comfort of the new.

This is a truly cosy cottage whose main ground floor living room includes a 2-seater sofa and 2 armchairs, a dining table with 4 wrought iron chairs and luxurious Malabar curtains and cushions. The small kitchen is cottage style with wooden worktops from where you will no doubt enjoy the fruits of your labour in the adjacent dining area. When the weather is fine you can eat at the table and chairs in the courtyard garden which is accessed via the kitchen.

Be careful of the low headroom and steep steps as you go upstairs (but that’s part of the charm!) Here you’ll find a double bedroom and stylish bathroom! The second floor attic twin bedroom has timbered beamed ceilings.
