Location

A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

The scattered village of Walford lies in the beautiful Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just 2 miles from the riverside town of Ross-on-Wye, on the northern edge of the Royal Forest of Dean. Ideally located to enjoy excellent walks and cycle routes with the Wye Valley Walk and Offa's Dyke Path both passing close by, as well as a traditional village pub. There's a host of places to visit in the area, including Goodrich, Hay-on-Wye and Hereford.
